I received my Bachelor's Degree from Cornell University and my Master's Degree, Professional Diploma, and Ph.D. from Fordham University. I am a licensed psychologist in Connecticut, where I currently have a private practice. I have worked in school, hospital, and private settings and was an adjunct professor at Fordham University's Graduate School of Education. I have presented my research with children and families at national and international conferences.
I was inspired to write my first book, "My Very Exciting, Sorta Scary, Big Move: A Workbook for Children Moving to a New Home," after my personal experience moving to London and back to the United States 5 years later. My four daughters, all under the age of 7, had very different reactions before, during, and after the move, so I began using tools I often used in my practice. My workbook guides children through the experience and helps them process their emotions and move forward with a sense of calm and excitement. "My Very Exciting Move: Color the Adventure" is a coloring book for younger children. Stay tuned for a journal for teens.
